Montgomery County Food Council to Host Meeting on Eating Local
The Montgomery County Food Council will host a meeting in Silver Spring to encourage Montgomery County residents to eat locally. The event will take place on Wednesday, February 24 at Denizens Brewing Company which is located on 1115 East-West Highway.
Business owners and representatives from the Montgomery County Food Council will discuss the positive impact of eating locally produced foods. Product samples from Dress it Up Dressing, Chouquette, Baklava Couture, Chocolates & Tomatoes Farm, Urban Winery, Cherry Glen Farm and Fresh Baguette will be offered during the event.
The event is free and open to the public and residents interested in attending can RSVP online. The meeting will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more information contact the Montgomery County Food Council by email at mocofoodcouncil@gmail.com.
