African American History Film Festival at Plum Gar Community Recreation Center

6:30 – 8:00 p.m. (Free) in honor of Black History Month you can appreciate “Community Cornerstones: Historic African American Churches and Communities in Montgomery County, Maryland” and the critically acclaimed docu-series “The African-Americans: Many Rivers to cross.”

February 13:  Cupids & Cupcakes at Potomac Community Recreation Center

12 noon – 1:30 p.m. Course # 403122. Senior Valentine Luncheon includes soup and/or salads, sandwiches and beverages, raffle with prizes.  $10 per person includes live entertainment.  Pre-registration is required to attend this event. February 20:  Getting Your Financial House In Order at Plum Gar Community Recreation Center

10:00 am – 12:00 p.m. Every month until September 18. Light refreshments served.

February 21:  Chattin’ Up Summer at MCR Headquarters

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Free) to assist you with selecting the perfect summer camp, walk you through registration and answer questions about our hundreds of other recreation programs and activities. Customer Service will be open for full-service, walk-in registration at our offices at 4010 Randolph Road. Or, you don’t have to leave the house, or sofa, or pajamas. Just grab your computer or mobile device, and our customer service staff will be live at your fingertips. February 20:  Teen Café Carnival Night at Germantown Community Recreation Center

February 26:  Spring Adult Basketball Leagues

Registration will be accepted until March 26. Leagues are offered for men’s, and 55+ seniors starting the week of April 12. For more information call 240-777-6893.

Friday Night Hypes:  6:30 p.m-8:30 p.m. $5 per child each night includes meal. Parents and family are welcome to attend; the meal ticket is $3 for parents and families, this program is for grades 2-5. Enjoy movies, games, music, and food, theme nights, and much more.

Club Friday:  Club Friday is filled with fun activities such as: games, sports, movies, DJ, dancing, arts & crafts, theme nights, raffles and special events that every child will enjoy. Come out and join in the fun! Meets October through May. Check specific locations for dates and times. The program is for grades 3-6 and the fee is a one-time payment of $50.
