Metro Expecting Large Crowds for Gun Safety Rally

Students and their families are expected to take to the streets of Washington D.C. to rally behind gun safety law reform and ending gun violence during the March For Our Lives rally this Saturday.

To accommodate the expected crowds, Metro will run its rush hour services,  according to a news release.

Trains will begin running at 7 a.m. and depart end-of-line stations every 8 minutes. Additional Red Line trains will run between Grosvenor and Silver Spring stations, and downtown DC trains will arrive every 2 to 4 minutes.

Metro officials are encouraging riders to travel light, expect large crowds for the March and to plan ahead since certain stations may be closed.
