Mega Millions Lottery Grows to $868 Million

Update, Wednesday 8:15 a.m.: No one selected the correct numbers in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions lottery drawing, which sent the jackpot to $868 million.
Combined, the two big lottery games have total prizes at $999 million. Wednesday night’s Powerball has a jackpot of $345 million. And the Mega Millions, which is drawn Tuesday night, has a $659 million jackpot.
The jackpots are listed as the totals paid out as annuities. Winners can opt for a cash option which comes to less than 60 percent of each jackpot — $372 million for the Mega Millions and $199 million for the Powerball.
Mega Millions will be drawn at 11 p.m. Tuesday. The Powerball will be drawn at 11 p.m. Wednesday. If no one wins either lottery, the jackpots grow for drawings on Friday for Mega Millions and Saturday for Powerball.
