Meet Local National Spelling Bee Finalist Anson Cook

What does it take to be a finalist in the National Spelling Bee? According to Anson Cook, a rising ninth grader at Winston Churchill High School, it takes a lot of studying and a little luck. Cook should know as he was one of the final 50 contestants in the recent 92nd Scripps National Spelling Bee held at the Gaylord National Resort in National Harbor, Md.
