MCPS Virtual Academy Offers Alternative to In-Person Learning in the Fall
The Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Virtual Academy is another option for some students who decide not to return to in-person instruction come fall.
“This is completely separate from what happens in a traditional school building; it is a stand-alone virtual school where students will be engaged with their teachers for synchronous and asynchronous learning,” said MCPS Communications Department Supervisor Gboyinde Onijala.
Students enrolled in the virtual academy can still participate in extracurricular activities and sports as Onijala explained.
The Virtual Academy application process is now open. Parents/guardians can submit an application June 2-July 2. For more information and to complete an application, visit: https://t.co/tfdyGq7xxV
