2018 Drive for Supplies

MCPS Students and Staff Donate More Than 8,000 Pounds of School Supplies

At the end of every school year, staff from Montgomery County Public Schools and Learn Shop Incorporated have encouraged students and staff to donate gently used and new items to the school district’s annual Drive for Supplies program.

Now in its 19th year, the school district has donated more than 90 tons of school supplies to families in need.

In 2018, staff and student volunteers collected more than 8,000 pounds of school supplies, nearly double the amount compared to 2017.

School leaders gathered at Montgomery Village Middle School early Monday to distribute supplies to families and community organizations:
