MCPS Students Continue Anti-Trump Protests
High school students across Montgomery County continue to protest President-elect Donald Trump.
Officials from the Montgomery County Public Schools have confirmed these schools that had a walk out or some sort of manifestations Wednesday morning:
Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville
Seneca Valley High School in Germantown
Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg
Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville
Blake High School in Silver Spring
Springbrook High School in Silver Spring
Northwest High School in Germantown
Staff from Paint Brush High School says students rallied together on the school’s premises instead of a walkout. The demonstration started at roughly 9 a.m and ended by 12 p.m.
One student from Richard Montgomery High School was injured and suffered minor scrapes and abrasions on the knee, according to Rockville City Police. He was transported to a local hospital and there is no word on his condition.
