ORIGINAL POST Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) officials have not announced the status of schools on Tuesday despite the pending winter storm warning.

“We don’t have any information yet but will keep you posted,” said Gboyinde Onijala, a spokesperson for MCPS.

Earlier today, the school district posted information about how winter weather decisions are made about closing schools on its Twitter account. According to that information, a decision will be made by 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
