MCPS Addresses Student Walkout on Gun Violence Planned for March 14

Students from Montgomery County Public Schools will join other school districts from across the region for a student march on Washington next Wednesday.

According to tweets, students are marching down to Washington D.C. to remember the 17 people killed during a school shooting in Parkland, Florida and to demand stricter gun control regulations.

School administrators said while they support students’ rights to assemble, they are worried about their safety and leaving school to protest:
