MCPD Investigating Shooting in Fairland
Montgomery County Police Department Detectives are investigating a shooting that happened in Fairland on Sunday evening.
911 dispatch received several calls for shots fired in the area of the 2000 block of Treetop Lane shortly before 6:30 p.m. When first responders arrived they located a 28-year-old male on Treetop Lane suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. Officials say Columbia Pike at Tech Rd was closed due to the shooting, but has since reopened.
The investigation remains open, and officials say this incident does not appear to be a random act.
MCP is on the scene of shooting in the area of the 2000 blk of Treetop Ln in Fairland. Officers located the victim (believed to be adult male) suffering from an apparent gun shot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital w/ serious injuries. (Part 1 of 2)
