MCP to Conduct Sobriety Checkpoint
Montgomery County Police announced Friday they will conducting a sobriety checkpoint starting tonight at 10 p.m. through 3 a.m. Saturday.
Montgomery County Police’s Alcohol Initiative Section (AIS) and Maryland State Police’s Impaired Driving Enforcement (SPIDRE) team have been conducting a joint impaired driving enforcement effort in Montgomery County.
Since the joint drunk driving enforcement began in March, Montgomery County Police’s Alcohol Enforcement Unit and Maryland State Police’s SPIDRE team have had 86 DUI arrests and issued over 1,500 traffic citations, according to a release from police.
