Maryland Flags Lowered to Half-Staff to Honor Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Gov. Larry Hogan ordered Maryland’s flags to be lowered to half-staff to honor the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
“The United States and Maryland flags have been lowered to half-staff to honor the life and legacy of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg,” Hogan tweeted Saturday.
President Donald Trump also ordered the White House flags to half-staff in a proclamation.
Trump said in a statement, “Renowned for her brilliant mind and her powerful dissents at the Supreme Court, Justice Ginsburg demonstrated that one can disagree without being disagreeable toward one’s colleagues or different points of view”
Ginsburg died Friday from “complications of metastatic pancreas cancer,” according to a statement from the Supreme Court. She was 87 years old.
