Marijuana Positions Divide Democrats Who Want to Be Governor

Seven Democrats who want to face Gov. Larry Hogan in November discussed issues at a candidate forum in Silver Spring on Tuesday night.

One of the questions concerned their positions on marijuana decriminalization and legalization.

Here’s what they had to say:

The candidates were Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker, former NAACP president and CEO Ben Jealous, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz, Montgomery County state Sen. Richard Madeleno, author and entrepreneur Alec Ross, lawyer Jim Shea and Krishanti Vignarajah, former policy adviser to Michelle Obama.

The Woman’s Democratic Club of Montgomery hosted the forum, in the Silver Spring Civic Building.
