March on Washington: Don’t Forget War Veterans (Video)

Radio One and Walmart sponsored a special screening of The Veterans’s of Color in Silver Spring at the American Film Institute. The film documents the stories of African American veterans and will be preserved in the National Archives.

Radio One’s Cathy Hughes says recognizing veterans was a part of Martin Luther King’s dream.

The film, produced by Dr. Bernard C. Watson and directed by Mark Parry, was sponsored by Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) Manasota Branch.
