Man Shot in Olney Monday Afternoon

Two suspects shot a man Monday afternoon in a residence located on the 3400 block of Olney’s Bantry Way, according to police.

The incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Montgomery County Police Department spokesman Rick Goodale.

“We don’t believe this was a random act,” Goodale said.

While the isolated incident is still under investigation, Goodale said there is no threat to the public.
