Man Killed in Car Crash in Olney
Montgomery County police are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred on Monday afternoon in Olney.
Police said the crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Olney-Laytonsville Road near Olney Mill Road and involved one vehicle.
According to the preliminary investigation, police said a white 2007 Honda Accord was traveling east on Olney-Laytonsville Road when for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway in the area of Olney Mill Road and struck a traffic signal control box. Police said the driver was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The investigation continues.
