Local Officials React to Trump’s Executive Order on Health Care
President Donald Trump’s executive order Thursday will make it easier for consumers to buy across state lines and small businesses will be able to form a group to purchase insurance together.
“Large employers often are able to obtain better terms on health insurance for their employees than small employers because of their larger pools of insurable individuals across which they can spread risk and administrative costs,” the order reads. “Expanding access to AHPs can help small businesses overcome this competitive disadvantage by allowing them to group together to self-insure or purchase large group health insurance.”
Many local officials, however, criticized Trump on Twitter:
This move is pure malice. Calculated to inflict pain and collapse the ACA insurance exchanges. Sickening. https://t.co/43ibCeC4tb

Trump couldn’t convince a GOP-controlled Congress to repeal the #ACA & now wants to use executive power to sabotage and destroy it. https://t.co/RVqxyUbXt9

The President’s continuing efforts to sabotage our American #Healthcare system are dangerous and will put people’s lives at risk

Yet another attempt to undermine the Affordable Care Act. I stand ready to defend healthcare access for all MDers. https://t.co/HEKz9rcIhQ

What these great politicians aren’t telling you is that their insurance premiums are 74% subsidized through Obama care. Not ours. Plus, I didn’t see that their staff also falls under this great deal.
Motive is a great decision maker. Politics is very similar to Hollywood’s lifestyle. Cardin, Van HolleN and the rest are “outraged”. Then work with Trump to improve it for everyone.
