Leggett Shares a Personal Photo at Back to School Kickoff (VIDEO)

The 2015-2016 school year begins with the highest enrollment in Montgomery County’s history.

According to school officials, enrollment in Montgomery County Public Schools is increasing by more than 2,600 students this year, the eighth straight year of growth greater than 2,000 students.

In this MyMCMedia Extra, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett says although the numbers are there, he wanted to talk about “real life.” Leggett showed his granddaughter’s picture who just started first grade, and said he wants to ensure that “we do not have a student-teacher ratio that’s out of proportion.”
