Katie Ledecky came to the FINA world championships in Gwanghwamun, South Korea with her sights set on winning five gold medals. Things did not go quite as planned. Ledecky recovered from a bout of dehydration to win a gold medal in the 800m freestyle Saturday ending a tumultuous week on a high note.
