Kathleen Matthews Campaign Calls for Trone Ad to be Pulled (VIDEO)
Candidate for Maryland’s 8th Congressional District Kathleen Matthews campaign says that David Trone’s ad featuring President Obama is “misleading.”
The ad in question features the President attending a Democratic National Committee fundraiser at Trone’s Potomac home. In the ad the President suggests that Trone should run for office.

The Washington Post reported that neither the Democratic National Committee or President are endorsing David Trone.
Matthews campaign released the following statement about Trone’s ad:
“This morning, the Democratic National Committee made it clear that President Obama is not supporting David Trone in this primary. By continuing to run this ad, David is intentionally misleading the voters of the 8th district, and he should pull the spot immediately,” Ethan Susseles, Matthews for Congress campaign manager, said. “David Trone knows the President isn’t endorsing him, and he shouldn’t run an ad suggesting otherwise. You can’t spend enough money to get around the truth.”
Trone’s campaign released this statement in response:
“David is a longtime admirer and supporter of President Obama. He is honored and humbled by the exceedingly gracious comments our President made about him. The President’s words speak for themselves. David was the number one donor for the DNC in 2015. David and June were thrilled to host the President at their home with their family, friends, and our community’s leading Democrats.”
David Trone is a fake! Look at the put on smile, it’s not real and either is he. He wants personal gain. This is a motive to promote Total Wine, and everyone knows it. His bullying his way in, and that is his style as well. Do not trust him. Nothing personal just facts. And no not everyone likes him as he claims. Yes they were thrilled to host Obama and Obama was thrilled to get the check. Why do you think he came because he know the them. Open up your wallet and Your so called guest will come to see you too. Trone is no way humbled it’s not him list to is words he a first class phony.
Read carefully what his campaign said; he has been a long admirer, not true, people who know that Trone is not a fan of Obama.
Months before Trone tossed his name in Obama was at his home he was setting up his game plan. Obama will say anything to get money as will all the greedy politicians. Now why is it not said June is an admirer of Obama????? She not. Thrilled for family and friends, friends who paid to see Obama hence fund raiser. Oh family how peachy like he is a big family guy lady’s we know him in our community his way or no way. His wife walks in his shadow. I get sick looking at him on TV so I just shut it off. Big business buying his way in. That’s all he knows reach in and pay his way through. Like he has to open all his stores. Trone you may fool some but you know the real you.
