Here are a number of things to do Saturday, Oct. 20, in Montgomery County.

Heritage Harvest

Celebrate autumn and the fall harvest in the Montgomery County Agricultural Reserve. Stop and visit a wide variety of farms. Fun family activities will include farm tours, markets, crafts for kids, farm animals, and food for sale. Admission is free. Plan your visit with the Heritage Harvest 2018 brochure.

Interfaith Works Race to Empower MoCo 5K/1K

For serious runners and multi-generational walkers. The race benefits programs to end poverty and prevent homelessness. Interfaith Works’ Race to Empower MoCo 5K/1K will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, starting at 8:30 a.m. The course along the scenic Rock Creek Trail will begin and end at the Interfaith Works Clothing Center.

Mornings at the Museum

The National Museum of Health and Medicine is introducing Mornings at the Museum for families with children who have physical, cognitive, and/or sensory issues. The program features early entrance to the museum, human anatomy activity stations, and a break space. Call 301-319-3312 for information. FREE and open to the public! Community Health and Wellness Fair

The Living Word International Christian Church in Silver Spring holds the 4th Annual Body, Soul, Mind, Spirit Health and Wellness Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be activities for the entire family. The church will provide FREE sports, fitness and fun activities for children, adults and seniors; health screenings and literature; cooking and fitness demonstrations; car show, moon bounce, food and music; youth health career workshop for teens in partnership with local and national organizations.

Historic Kensington Cabin Reopens

Montgomery Parks will host a celebration to reopen and dedicate the Kensington Cabin located in the Kensington Cabin Local Park from 2 to 4 p.m.
