Second Annual Regional Job Fair Set for Wednesday in Silver Spring
Looking for a job?
Montgomery County will host the Second Annual East County Regional Job Fair on Oct. 17 from 3-7 p.m. in Silver Spring.
This event is free and open to the public. Job seekers are asked to bring many copies of their resume and to dress in business attire. Registration for job seekers is encouraged online, here.
The Job Fair takes place at the East County Community Recreation Center, 3310 Gateshead Manor Way.
Recruiters from the Federal Government, Maryland State Government, County Government and the private sector will be talking with job seekers.
At last year’s first job fair at the center, more than 600 job seekers attended.
Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and County Councilmember Tom Hucker are among the partners supporting the job fair. Other job fair partners include Congressman John Sarbanes; State Senator Craig Zucker; State Delegates Anne Kaiser, Eric Luedtke and Pam Queen; the East County Regional Service Center; the County Department of Recreation; the County Commission for Women and WorkSource Montgomery.
I attended the job fair on October 17th and was having trouble reaching out to one of the vendors. He was from DHHS and he told me he would contact me the following day but I never heard back. I have been trying to reach him by back tracking through the website but had no luck. Can you please help me? Thank you!
