Twelve new shows at AMP at Pike & Rose on Grand Park Avenue in North Bethesda are now on sale, including back-to-back opening concerts by Americana alt-country originator Jay Farrar of Son Volt and Uncle Tupelo.

AMP will open the first weekend in March, with two concerts by Jay Farrar on Friday and Saturday, March 6 and 7, and a show by Toshi Reagon of Big Lovely with jazz drummer Allison Miller and local electronic musician Be Steadwell on Sunday, March 8.

The addition of these dozen shows brings the total number of concerts for Strathmore’s new off-site concert venue at Pike & Rose to 40 in its opening months. The new shows straddle genres from Go Go to racy cabaret, folk, jazz, rock, and more, with concerts by low-fi indie band Lower Dens, an album release by award-winning cabaret singer Mark Nadler, Reggae Beatles tribute band Yellow Dubmarine, Amigos Band, bluegrass icon Alice Gerrard, and Talking Heads tribute band Psycho Killers, among others. A full list is below.
