MCPS: Churchill Responds to Racist ‘Pass’

Officials say some students at Winston Churchill High School in Potomac participated in the distribution of “n-word passes” Friday.

An email sent out by the Principal, Brandice Heckert  revealed that after further investigation, paper passes were given to some students; giving them permission to use the “n-word.”

In the email that was sent to parents, Heckert also stated that “Behavior that is disrespectful and/or intolerant will not be accepted.

The email also stated that the students involved will face consequences.

MCPS public information officials say the term is not tolerated in any of their schools or buildings.
