Interfaith Thanksgiving Service to be held in Potomac

Members of the Potomac-area faith communities will host an Interfaith Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m.

“This is the first year we are doing this,” said Sultan Chowdhury, president,  Islamic Community Center of Potomac. “We want to celebrate commonality and diversity among people in our county.”

Organizers say residents representing all backgrounds and ages are invited to attend.

The event is free of charge but coordinators are asking those attending to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Manna Food Center.

To RSVP for the event, email Sultan Chowdhury sultanc2012@yahoo.com.
