Hundreds Are Without Power in Gaithersburg Area

Over 1,500 Pepco customers are without power in the Gaithersburg area at this hour.

Pepco spokesperson Eric Winkfield said the outage was caused by a switch issue that occurred shortly before 3 p.m.

Repairs are underway in the Seville Way area, he said, and power should be restored by 5 p.m. today.
