Hoggle Held Without Bond Following Murder Charges (VIDEOS)

A judge ordered Catherine Hoggle to be held without bond at a psychiatric facility in Jessup, Md.

This order comes just one day after she was indicted on murder charges for the death of her two children.

Hoggle was the last known person to be seen with Sarah (6) and Jacob (5) before they disappeared in 2014.

The children have never been found.

She was charged with misdemeanor counts of child neglect and obstructing and hindering and has remained at Clifton T. Perkins state hospital for psychiatric treatment since she has been repeatedly found incompetent to stand trial.

The murder charges against Hoggle comes before a legal deadline that would have allowed her to be released from the hospital.

Under Maryland law, an individual facing misdemeanor charges can only be hospitalized and detained for a maximum sentence of three years, according to Montgomery County State’s Attorney John McCarthy.

With the murder charges, Hoggle can now be held for five additional years in the hospital so doctors can restore her to competency to stand trial.
