Hey, it’s #NATITUDE Park time, not FedEx’s
Come on Washington Post editors, a smiling RGIII lead photo in today’s sports section. Huh! What a great shot of Harper Jonathan Newton made from a deep center field camera position some 400 feet away – and you bury it on D7. Really!
Bryce Harper is the show this past weekend and Sunday while you made your front page decision he became the first teenager in 48 years to steal home and you bury it for a cute QB who hasn’t event played a minute in the big leagues. Really!
The Washington Nationals made a big whoop about taking back their park from transient Philadelphia Phillies fans, they plastered a banner above the Center field jumbo display, they befuddled would-be ticket buyers from the 190 zip area, they created buzz by their #Natitude tweets, and Harper was top 10 trending on Twitter all night. So, this morning we are greeted with an oversized pic of three Redskin rookies. OMG.
The Nationals don’t have to take back their stadium – they need to take over this town. The Post does not help matters by trading up on the Redskins great quarterback hope over the action at #NATITUDE Park this early in the spring. We can wait until summer for the Post’s spinmeisters to do their Redskin thing. It will be a hot town, summer in the city, back of our necks getting dirty and gritty.
Hey, but isn’t it nice to have these two young men the faces of their Washington franchises, let’s hope that we are all up to the task of watching them grow professionally.
Blog more – yep -I can and will do!
