Here’s How to Donate to MCPS Annual Supplies Drive
It’s the final week of school for students in Montgomery County Public Schools. As the 2017-2018 school year comes to a close on June 15, school leaders are encouraging parents and students to donate gently used supplies the school system’s annual Drive for Supplies.
At the end of the school year, students and staff who cleaning out their backpacks and lockers, donate new or used school supplies to benefit nonprofits locally and from across the world.
2018 marks the school district’s 19th year of Drive for Supplies. The program is a partnership with Learn Shop, Inc., and has generated more than 91 tons of school supplies, according to a news release.
The Annual Drive for Supplies Event is expected to take place on July 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Montgomery Village Middle School. Schools are accepting donations until June 15.

- Binders
- Markers
- Pencils
- Pens
- Color Pencils
- Erasers
- Scissors
- Paper
- Dividers Composition/Spiral Notebooks Folders
- Rulers
- Glue
- Lunch Boxes
- Crayons
- Pencil Cases
