Grocery Delivery Services Available for Residents
Going to the grocery store can be nerve-racking right now due to the spread of coronavirus and fear of contamination.
For those who are apprehensive, there are options for grocery delivery available for residents who may feel ill or don’t want to take the risk of leaving their homes.
Listed below are a couple of services that deliver groceries to your door:
Instacart is a service that delivers you fresh food from various local stores including Giant, Costco, Target, and Aldi. Stores are subject to vary based on your delivery area.
Amazon/Whole Foods – Amazon delivers food from Whole Foods Market to your home. If you have an Amazon Prime Membership, the delivery is free.
In addition, many grocery stores such as Safeway, Wegmans and Harris Teeter are offering grocery delivery. Many of these stores offer curbside pickup, which has no delivery fee and saves you from having to enter the store to get your food. Walmart Grocery is also an option and offers delivery and pickup as well for customers.
Due to high demand right now, some items may not be available and some of the delivery services may take several days to deliver.

Safeway no longer offers curbside pick up. And FYI Weis has stopped also. Harris teeter lets you schedule 1-6 days in advance, but when you try to schedule ANY of the dates and times they all say unavailable.
