Glenstone Museum to Reopen Next Thursday

Glenstone Museum in Potomac announced plans to reopen Thursday, June 4. In order to visit, people must reserve tickets in advance on the museum’s website. Currently, tickets are accessible through June 14. Tickets will be launched Monday mornings at 10 a.m. beginning June 8.

The website states, “The wellbeing of our visitors and associates is our top priority and we have adjusted our visitor experience to include additional safety measures during the coronavirus outbreak.”

In lieu of Governor Hogan’s restrictions, visitors will only have outdoor access. As a result, new measures are set in place for the museum. These include:

1. Visits must be scheduled ahead of time. No reservation, no visit.
2. Face coverings must be worn at all times.
3. Visitors will not have access to inside amenities, such as bathrooms, water fountains, and food services.
4. Groups cannot exceed five people.
5. Certain paths will be one-way only.
6. Guides will not provide interpretive services.

Because this experience is similar to that of visiting a park, Glenstone advises for visitors to plan their trip accordingly.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Glenstone will continue to monitor the situation and will make accommodations as appropriate.
