Funeral Services Set for Saturday for Artem Ziberov at Neelsville Presbyterian Church
Funeral services for Artem Ziberov will be held on Saturday at Neelsville Presbyterian Church in Germantown.
Police say 18-year-old Ziberov and 17-year-old Shadi Adi Najjar were shot to death on Monday night as they sat in a parked car on Gallery Court in Montgomery Village. Police have not released any information about a suspect or a motive for this double homicide. Police Chief Tom Manger said the investigation is very active. Both teens were seniors at Northwest High School and should have graduated on Tuesday.
Ziberov was an honor student and an Eagle Scout. He helped lead a project to build squirrel boxes for the Second Chance Wildlife Center.
A GoFundMe account has been set up for Ziberov’s family.
The viewing is scheduled from 3 – 6 p.m. today, and funeral services will be held from 6 – 7:30 p.m. According to the GoFundMe update, a midnight vigil will be held Northwest High School.
