Fourth of July Fireworks (Video)

There are several places to view the  4th of July fireworks in Montgomery County.

The county will host fireworks displays in Germantown and Kensington. While the city of Gaithersburg will hold its annual Fourth of July celebration at the Montgomery County fairgrounds and the city of Rockville will hold its fireworks display on the Rockville campus of Montgomery College. There are also fireworks displays planned in Poolesville and Takoma Park.

The county’s Independence Day fireworks take place at the Maryland SoccerPlex in the South Germantown Recreational Park and at Albert Einstein High School. Displays will begin at about 9:15 p.m. But there will be concerts starting earlier at 7 p.m.

Low lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are welcome at both county events. Food vendors will be on site and no alcoholic beverages are permitted. The rain date for fireworks is July 5.
