For FNLs – It’s Olney, MD Tonight

It’s Friday Night and the Light is on Olney, MD. It’s the place to be for high school football in Montgomery County. If you haven’t left home for Olney yet – your behind the traffic curve on Route 108.

So we have two of the biggest games in MoCo set up to be played less than 1 mile apart. We have the best team in all of MoCo – Quince Orchard facing off against the home team Sherwood starting at 6:30. Then we have what the early talking heads claimed to be the two best teams in the state of Maryland – Good Counsel at home against the visitors from Baltimore – Gillman at 7PM.

Check out my Mythical Match-Up high school fantasy challenge at www.photoloaf.com or on my earlier blog “Announcing the MMU!” this week at archive.mymcmedia.org as to whom I think will win the MMU Challenge.

The outcomes of these games matter very little in the MMU Challenge since those leagues begin play next weekend. But these games are a good early season tune up for both QO and OLGC all set before the Labor Day weekend.

Root on – and be sure that you’ll find me at Urban BBQ on Rte 108 after the games.
