Food Council to Launch Food Security Plan on April 6

With a goal to fight hunger, the Montgomery County Food Council is launching the Montgomery County Food Security Plan to the public on April 6.

The food security plan is a five year strategy aimed to stop hunger in the county, according to a news release.

Those in attendance can expect a panel discussion with organizations organizations such as Manna Food Center, Allen Chapel AME Church and Adventist Health Care to discuss how local businesses and residents can contribute to the fight against ending hunger.

The meeting will be held at the Red Brick Courthouse, 29 Courthouse Square on the second floor from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
