Flooding Expected After Heavy Rainfall Tonight
Rain is falling in Montgomery County at a rate of about two inches an hour setting up a predicted flash flood warning for later this evening.
According to the National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated torrential rain across the area at about 7 p.m. and flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
Some locations that may experience flooding include: Rockville, Gaithersburg, Poolesville, Olney, Bethesda, and Damascus, according to the Service. The flash flood warning is in effect until 11 p.m.
