Flash Flood Watch for Montgomery County Issued Through Late Friday Night

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood watch for Montgomery County on Friday, which is set to begin at noon and last until late that night.

According to the weather alert, the flash flood watch was issued due to “scattered slow moving showers and thunderstorms” that are expected for Friday afternoon, which could cause flash flooding.

“Expect rainfall that may produce flooding within the next 24 hours,” tweeted the Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security.

The NWS has advised residents to monitor weather forecasts throughout the day and be ready to take action in the case that a flash flood warning is issued.
