Flags Ordered to Half-Staff

flagshalfstaffPresident Barack Obama has ordered the United States Flag to be flown at half-staff immediately as a mark of respect for the memory of Nelson Mandela, who died yesterday.

In addition, Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley has ordered the Maryland State Flag to also be flown at half-staff immediately.

The United States Flag and the Maryland State Flag are to remain at half-staff until sunset on Monday, December 9.
