1. The results of a groundbreaking study about African American youth in Montgomery County will be discussed at a meeting of civic and educational leaders today at the Silver Spring campus of Montgomery College. The program is entitled, “Connecting Youth to Opportunity.”

2. Over two dozens residents were displaced from their homes by a fire at a Silver Spring apartment building on Thursday.

3. A Germantown teen was struck by a vehicle earlier this month, and the teen’s father has a message for that hit and run driver.
