1. Polling places are open from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. today. To find your polling place visit the Maryland State Board of Elections website.

2. Looking to beat long lines at the polls? According to Board of Election officials, midday is the best time to vote.

3. There’s a silver lining for voters on election day: a number of businesses are offering freebies and deals.

4. Official election day watch parties: The Maryland Democratic Party is hosting an event tonight at the Tommy Douglas Conference Center in Silver Spring. The Republicans are celebrating election night at the BWI Airport Marriott in Linthicum. The Montgomery County GOP has announced a watch party at Lahinch Tavern & Grill at the Cabin John Shopping Center.
