2. The City of Gaithersburg is hosting it’s eighth annual Active Aging Expo today at the Activity Center at Bohrer today.

3. The Montgomery County Board of Education will be holding a closed session today at 4:30 p.m.

4. County community leaders and volunteers will be honored today at the Montgomery Serves Awards. The ceremony will held at the Imagination Stage in Bethesda at 6:30 p.m.

5. Docs in Progress will host a free community showcase of films created during Doc Around the Clock a timed documentary competition tonight at the Silver Spring Civic Building tonight at 7 p.m.

One more thing: it’s Election Day in the town of Garrett Park.
