1. County Council Meeting: The Montgomery County Council is in session today. You can peruse the elected leaders’ agenda, here.

2. Budget Savings Plan: County Councilmembers want to know what you think about County Executive Ike Leggett’s recommended $51 million fiscal year 2016 savings plan. Submit your feedback here.

3. Zumba on the Plaza: Every Tuesday night from now through August 25th you can “work out” at the Fountain Plaza in Silver Spring.

4. Pedal Power: The city of Rockville invites you to participate in a neighborhood bike ride that takes off at 6:30 p.m. from the Best Western on West Montgomery Avenue.

5. Artists’ Reception in Gaithersburg: An exhibition of multimedia artwork celebrating flowers and other flora is on display from now through August 30 at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Avenue, in Gaithersburg. You can meet the artists tonight, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at a free, city reception.
