1. The Josiah Henson Leadership Conference takes place today at the studios of Montgomery Community Media. You can watch the livestream broadcast on the website beginning at 8 a.m. today.

2. In celebration of African American History Month, the city of Gaithersburg is hosting a reception tonight, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park.

3. Catherine Hoggle, the mother of missing Sarah (5) and Jacob (3) Hoggle, is due back in court today. Follow @MyMCMedia on Twitter for the latest from the courthouse.

4. Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett and County Council members Roger Berliner and Nancy Navarro are in Cuba this week as part of a regional exploratory mission trip.

5. The Montgomery County Board of Education meets tonight. On the agenda, workplace bullying, the Washington Grove Elementary School re-roofing project, money for portable classrooms and more.

    I didn’t see anything about the catastropy of the water main break during rush hour this morning on 355 in Derwood. Your page doesn’t allow pics as I have several. The story along with pics is on my Facebook wall as I was on the seen twice this morning.
