1. The 20th annual Public Safety Awards will be handed out a Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce breakfast this morning at the Montgomery County fairgrounds. 2. The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center is hoping to “Clear the Shelter” this Saturday.

3. The “Black Lives Matter” sign outside a Bethesda church was vandalized again.

4. The Town of Poolesville plans to celebrate the opening of the Dollar General store with a ribbon-cutting ceremony this Saturday on Fisher Avenue.

5. Montgomery Parks officials are advising residents to use caution when visiting Lake Needwood and Lake Frank.
