3. Rockville City Councilmember Tom Moore announces he is not seeking reelection.

5. Hundreds of new Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) teachers are participating in New Educator Orientation this week. MCPS will have more than 800 new teachers at the start of the 2015-2016 school year.
