1. Fatal Accident and Road Closure: Montgomery County police are investigating a fatal car accident this morning in Dickerson. Police report that Route 28 is closed between Martinsburg Road and Route 109. Commuters are advised to find an alternate route.

2. Child Abuse Prevention Month: Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will join with officials at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital to announce a new partnership about caring for infants today.

3. Literary Luncheon: Author and Journalist Marvin Kalb is the keynote speaker at today’s literary luncheon at Strathmore Mansion.

4. Assignment Green: Travilah Elementary has been nominated for a green ribbon award.

5. Music in the Mansion: Gabriel Kahane and Rob Moose perform at 7:30 p.m. tonight at the Strathmore Mansion.
