At approximately 4:05 a.m., on April 17, officers responded to the 20200 block of Darnestown Road for the report of car collision from a driver passing through the area.

There are no known witnesses to the collision. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have identified the driver as Kenneth James Lovelett, age 58, of an unconfirmed address.

The circumstances surrounding this collision remain under investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240.773.6620 or call the police non-emergency number at 301.279.8000.  Callers may remain anonymous.
