2. Meeting the Press: Council President Roger Berliner meets the press at 11 a.m.
3 In Session: The Montgomery County Board of Education meets at 5 p.m. Here’s the agenda. The Rockville Mayor and Council has a worksession on workforce and affordable housing. And the Gaithersburg Mayor and Council has a worksession on energy benchmarking and the city’s urban forest study.
4. Hurricane Help: Two events have been scheduled for Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 to collect items for people affected by Hurricane Maria. See our story.
5. How Elections Operate: State and county elections officials will discuss how Maryland elections operate behind-the-scenes. From 6:45 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the second-floor meeting room, Rockville Library, 21 Maryland Ave., Rockville. Free.
