Here’s five things to know today, Nov. 7, in Montgomery County:
1. City of Gaithersburg Elections: Voters will cast their ballots for Mayor and Gaithersburg City Council today. Polls open up at 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.
2. Takoma Park City Elections: Voting will take place in Takoma Park’s Community Center from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residents will vote for Mayor and Takoma Park’s City Council.
3. Minimum wage: The Montgomery County Council will take up minimum wage during its council session.
4. Coffee with a Cop: Join Montgomery County Police Department’s first district for Coffee with a Cop at Target, located at 5700 Bou Avenue in Rockville from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
5. Sidewalk Construction Public Hearings: The Montgomery County Department of Transportation will hold three, separate public hearings to present information about proposals to build three sidewalk projects at the Executive Office Building.
